Our Mission
Our mission is to engage youth and US Veterans in saltwater fishing through hands-on excursions and educational seminars. We enlighten under-resourced youth about higher education scholarship opportunities through fishing. Additionally, we create a welcoming community to provide companionship and camaraderie for veterans facing social isolation.

The SaltWater Anglers of Texas (S.W.A.T.) aspires to create a bridge for under-resourced youth as well as US Veterans by being a beacon of light to improved mental health and well-being as we create a support system for the aforementioned demographic through camaraderie and mutual enjoyment of nature's aquatic ecosystem.

On Thursday evening, July 9, 2026, The Salt Water Anglers of Texas assisted in hosting an advocacy event with the Legends and Legacies program. The event was at held at the Dave Ward Crime Stoppers building to honor the Hope for 4 named in honor of the four young ladies who died as a result of a drunk driver accident July 9, 2010. The drunk driver fled the country to Nepal where he currently resides with no extradition law in place. Law makers, community activists, church leaders, nonprofits, friends and family all came out to grieve their loss and support the effort to bring their fugitive to justice.
